Long Term Conditions

Mental ill health can have an adverse effect on how well people manage their long term conditions and poor management of long term conditions can have an adverse on their mental health.

What are long-term conditions?

Worrying involves having prolonged chains of negative thinking about things that might happen in the future. They are typically things that we do not currently have control over or can do anything about. Worrying can cause anxiety symptoms and can be overwhelming. This can lead to even more worry which results in wearing us out and making us feel ill. The diagram displays the elements that we can call upon to build resilience. Each of the elements suggests which of our video modules may be helpful to you when living with a Long Term Condition.
